WORLD OF WOMEN (WOW) FILM FESTIVAL celebrated 17 years of women’s short film excellence with a 3 day festival presented by Women in Film and Television (WIFT) NSW. At the Awards night held on 10th March, the winners of awards in the various categories of the WOW Film Festival competition were announced. Acclaimed Screen industry guests attending included Samantha Lang, Dany Cooper, Gretel Killeen, Meryl Tankard, Erika Addis, Calvin Gardiner, Karen Pearlman, Harriet McKern, Jane St Vincent Welch, Jane Roscoe and many award winning filmmakers.

A total of 44 Australian and International films, featuring 29 premieres, were enjoyed by the vibrant audiences of filmmakers, screen personalities and film lovers at the Dendy Opera Quays cinema. Award winners and guests celebrated at Opera Bar, the official bar of the WOW Film Festival, with the best view in Sydney and live music every night.
Winners of a total of 22 WOW Film Festival Awards were announced. There were 11 film category awards, 5 individual category awards and 5 audience choice category awards given.
