AUSTRALIAN DIRECTORS GUILD CONFERENCE WIFT NSW members have been offered a discount of $120 to attend. For more information on the conference and to register at this discounted rate please visit ------------------------ MadCat Women's International Film Festival Every year, MadCat seeks to find and exhibit provocative and visionary works that are original in their use of the medium. MadCat is committed to showcasing women directors who challenge the use of sound and image and explore notions of visual story telling. MadCat sets itself apart from other women's festivals by curating its programs thematically and thus accepting a range of films about many different topics. ------------------------ Birds Eye View Festival Birds Eye View is looking for documentaries, features, short films, and new media work by international women filmmakers. The 2009 Film Festival will open on March 5 with 10 days of shorts, features, documentaries and special events, panels and parties. ------------------------ Red Orchid Film Festival Call for entries for films either produced, directed, or written by women! This film festival will be showcasing the films of female independent filmmakers. This event is fully sponsored and there is no entry fee. The best 10 films will be selected by the RWUL Magazine film committee to be featured in the film festival in December 2008. INDIE-FEST @ THE WORLD OF WOMEN FILM FESTIVAL A FIRST at WOW - INDIE-FEST @ THE WORLD OF WOMEN FILM FESTIVAL is the first voter-based program of its kind to hit the global film festival circuit.
