'War Paint' is a simple story which asks its audience to explore much larger themes and world issues. A woman applies her make up while listening to 'Just a thought', her favourite morning radio program, but why is she putting on this make up? For men? For power? For herself? Shot as one continuous shot from extreme close up to wide, 'War Paint' is a visually stimulating film that is sure to get audiences thinking about the big issues.

Karen Pearlman is a dynamic, intuitive authority on rhythm and life… so wonderfully devoted to blending life and dance that she performed on stage nine months pregnant in a pink silk dress. So why is Karen now a self proclaimed retired dancer? Is that the price of academia? Or motherhood? What’s next?

‘Warning: It may contain subtitles’ is a black comedy, sweet and sad at the same time as it is sardonic and funny. It explores the notion of attraction, identity and belonging. Ana is a beautiful, ambitious and intelligent artist who speaks no English. As to newcomer to Sydney, she agrees to meet a blind date. Their meeting over coffee is an awkward encounter …but her fortunes retrieved when she meets a man who instantly grabs her attention.

For more than twenty years Northern Uganda was victim to one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world. Countless numbers of people were brutalized and killed, one million people were displaced and 30,000 women and children abducted and forced to become child soldiers and sex slaves to the LRA (Lords Resistance Army). Nothing can remove the scars of the past, but song and dance is one way that helps people to relieve their pain and suffering. This documentary introduces three of Jseph Kony’s abductees who are currently undergoing rehabilitation at ‘Friends of Orphans Uganda’.
