The 17th WOW Tour continues around Australia and internationally. Having previously screened in Nambucca, Byron Bay, Mission Beach, Kempsey, Singapore, Sweden and London, we are so very excited about the upcoming screenings.

WOW Film Festival Tour
The Lady Bug Festival in Gothenburg, Sweden
A program of films from the WOW Film Festival Tour was screened at the Lady Bug Festival held in Gothenburg, Sweden over two days on 13th and 14th October. The Lady Bug Festival is supported by WIFT Sweden. Aase Hogfeldt, the Lady Bug Festival Director, selected films which encompassed the festival’s theme of human rights and social diversity. The films screened from the WOW Film Festival were Breath, Love Song of Iskra Prufrock, This is How You’ll Make Your Bed in Prison, Clean Up on Aisle 9, The Reluctant Bride, Tegan the Vegan and Franswa Sharl. The Swedish audience enjoyed the Australian selection as well as Swedish films and several from women filmmakers from Turkey. The Doris award celebrating the achievement of a woman in the Swedish film industry was presented to Swedish screenwriter, Christina Herrström. • http://ladybugfestival.com/om/

National Tour - Screened September 2011
Byron Bay – the Breast Cancer Support Group of Byron Bay and the Byron Community Centre will once again be Tour partners with WIFT NSW to produce the WOW Film Festival Tour at Byron Bay. This event will be a fundraiser and will increase awareness of women’s health. WOW will screen several sessions at the Byron Community Centre on Saturday 10th September. Byron Bay WOW Program

Mission Beach – The Stratvell Film Club will again bring the WOW Film Festival Tour to Far North Queensland. WOW will be the first event at the new Mission Beach Arts Centre, screening on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th September.
Singapore International Film Festival – WOW goes international bringing a selection of Australian Shorts to the audience at SIFF. Matilda Brown, director and lead actress, of “How God Works” will be a guest of the Festival and will participate in a Q&A at the screening on Friday 16th September.
Kempsey – The WOW Film Festival Tour will present its diverse programming to the Multicultural & Diversity Festival @ Kempsey TAFE, screening at Oddfellows Hall on Sunday 25th September.
